Are you withholding something from yourself and those you love? Struggling to solve conflict - in yourself or with others? Maybe your are facing big life-changes or you have to make big-life decisions that overwhelms you? You might experience a sense of purposelessness. Or you are struggling to keep up with all the demands and responsibilities of life. Well, do not fear. You might be here because this is your last resort. You might have tried denying your situation, maybe solving it yourself or even reaching out to others for help, but all to your dismay. You might ask, 'Who am I', 'Why am I here', 'Where am I heading in life'?

You are unique, with your own strengths and weaknesses. With the right perspective and tools, you can overcome great challenges. There is much to be gained by working through our challenges- a fuller, more authentic and abundant life. But admitting that you're facing troubles, that you need assistance or that you do not feel fulfilled is the first step. Reach out if you need a safe space & an empathetic ear to work through difficulties, and to discover the hope that lies beyond what you have experienced. "Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in given circumstances"

Seeking counselling can feel overwhelming, but I want you to know that you're not alone on this journey. I believe that the foundation of healing lies in the therapeutic relationship - it is a space built on trust, compassion, and understanding. Each person has within them the ability to heal and grow, and this process begins from within. It’s about reconnecting with ourselves through mind, heart, and intuition. By cultivating self-compassion and a gentle curiosity toward our own experiences, we start to discover a deeper sense of self, which allows us to embrace a new way of being - led by our true, compassionate selves.

The people I work with are often going through life’s messier moments- grief, relationship ups and downs, or big life transitions like moving, changing careers, becoming a parent, or starting over after a breakup.
If that sounds familiar, you’re probably not looking for someone to give you a to-do list or “fix” anything. I offer support that’s thoughtful, down-to-earth, and respectful. The goals? They’re yours to set. We’ll work together to explore what’s going on and find ways to help you reconnect with your own inner clarity and strength.

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
