I today’s fast-paced world, many of us feel overwhelmed, stressed, and constantly on the go. We’re pulled in countless directions, managing the pressures of work, family, and an ever-changing landscape. With the constant demands of work, relationships, and responsibilities, it’s easy to feel scattered, overwhelmed, and disconnected. In a world that often measures our worth by how much we achieve, presence allows us to open to new possibilities of being in our lives, not by tuning out, but by tuning in.

Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship difficulties, stress, burnout, or a loss of purpose? Lasting change is possible. I believe healing begins when we understand the connection between the brain, nervous system, emotions, and behaviour. Rather than simply treating symptoms, I help clients understand why they feel stuck and develop practical, evidence-based strategies that create lasting change through psychology, neuroscience, Eastern Medicine, and holistic wellbeing.

Life stressors seem to be amplified at the moment, while anxiety and depression are on the rise. Issues of mental health do not have to be dealt with on one's own. A psychotherapy process can offer support by exploring issues, unlearning destructive patterns and creatively replacing them with ones that promote well-being.

As human beings, we strive towards becoming the best version of ourselves. But life often throws several curveballs at us which can lead to difficult times and severe emotional distress. However, it is never too late to practice the necessary self-care and reach out for guidance and support.

You may be struggling in your relationships, feeling overwhelmed by your emotions, or carrying the impact of experiences that still seem to live beneath the surface. Perhaps you understand your patterns, yet still find yourself triggered, anxious, shutting down or reacting in ways that don’t feel like you. Therapy offers a warm, reflective space to understand what’s driving these responses, create meaningful shifts, and reconnect with a more grounded, authentic sense of yourself.

All of us at some point might need support to deal with the many challenges of life, whether it be a personal crisis, a loss, an addiction, a feeling of stuckness or a change in one's ability to cope. I offer compassionate and non-judgemental psychotherapy for adolescents and adults. It is not always easy to take the first step to start therapy and to be vulnerable, but allowing yourself to open up is often the start of the journey towards acceptance or change.

I'm Bryony and I'm a Registered Counsellor (RC). As an RC I am here to extend psychological services and make them accessible to you. I tend to base my interventions on the emotionally focussed therapy modality and have a passion for working with couples, although I don't specialise in it (just yet) and offer individual counselling too. As a mother myself, I have a deep connection to working with new or expecting parents as they navigate the transition into parenthood. My door is always open and I am available over email to answer any pre-booking questions you might have about the counselling process.

Anger Management Counsellors
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
