The Individuals that feel as though no-one will understand or who have been told time and time again that they are the ones at fault, either in their relationships or at work. The individuals who feel alone and who cannot speak out due to hidden manipulation and control within a home or who are insidiously abused within a relationship. The individuals who feel that they are the ones who have destroyed their families lives, the individuals who want a safe space, a listening ear and supportive dialogue. I am mostly a systems theorist. I believe if we can heal the system that impact you (past, present, family, health, spirituality, trauma, relationships) you will be able to move at your own healthy pace toward strength and victory. I work attachment-based as I believe our family or origin is the classroom where we were taught how to do life and relationships.

I help my clients to feel more empowered, more connected, and more at peace. Even when they’re unsure or hesitant, I meet them there with warmth, curiosity, and respect. My role is to walk alongside them, offering reflection and evidence-based support. Some of the people I work with come to therapy feeling anxious, depressed, burnt out, or low in self-worth. Others are working through major life transitions like divorce, loss, or changes in relationships. Some just feel "off" and want a safe space to unpack their thoughts. Many are looking to build resilience, gain clarity, and develop practical tools for coping with everyday life.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. You could be navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship strain, or work-related stress, and finding it harder to cope on your own. You want relief, clarity, and emotional balance, but also practical support that fits your real-life context. Your goal is not just to survive, but to feel more grounded, empowered, and capable of managing life with confidence and self-awareness.

The clients who enjoy working with me are usually interested in an approach that looks beyond the simple management of symptoms and the accompanying diagnosis. They enjoy a space that attempts to hold the complexities and contradictions of life and how we go about pursuing the things we want from it. If you are looking for a less conventional approach to therapy, based on methods from secular Buddhism, Existential Philosophy, and Psychoanalysis, then you may enjoy this kind of therapeutic relationship.

In my practice, I see clients from all walks of life, they often have one thing in common, trauma. Each individual’s experience with trauma is unique, just like our DNA is unique to us. There is no one size fits all method to unpacking and processing what has been traumatic to you. Therefore, it is a collaboration between myself, the counsellor and you, the client, to ensure that the therapeutic process is successful in reaching the goals you have set out to reach. Clients who want to gain control over disempowering moments and memories in a safe environment will feel at home in my office.

I provide medium to long term integrative evidence-based psychotherapy, seeking to support children, adolescents and adults with neurodiversity (ADHD/ASD) related matters, LGBTQIA+ experiences, trauma, abuse, relational or familial difficulties, occupational stress, anxiety, mood disorders, grief and/or loss.
In a world where it so often feels as though our stories are written for us, it may become hard to believe that we have the power to change our narratives. Yet, I believe that psychotherapy allows us to do that. I aim to provide a safe, trusting and compassionate environment in which clients of all ages may explore who they are, process pain, hurt, and loss, attain different perspectives, access previously unknown resources and build specific skills to help them navigate circumstances.

I've been a psychologist for 24 years, after a long business career. I'm committed to fostering a trusting relationship where individuals feel safe to open up and share their true selves. Together, we create a space where people discover inner qualities, strengths, and resilience, make sense of challenging situations and often painful pasts, and build a future where they maintain a strong sense of well-being. My experience shows that clients seek an open, honest, practical and future-focused therapist. I’m also a trained and experienced coach and can blend therapy and coaching.

My ideal client would be someone who is looking to discover their true self and potential. At some point in your life, you've perhaps felt invalidated, judged, or misunderstood by others (or even yourself). Perhaps you're neurodiverse and are looking for guidance, understanding, compassion, and support. You want to become comfortable with and accepting of who you truly are. You're willing to put in the work both inside and outside of the therapy room to achieve your goals.

Domestic Abuse Counsellors
What are the most effective ways to recover from domestic abuse?
Leaving an abusive relationship requires tremendous courage, so survivors in treatment should recognise that they have already completed the most important step. Still, the trauma of physical or emotional abuse can be difficult to process and overcome. Therapy can help survivors process trauma, grief, and difficult emotions, treat relevant mental health symptoms, and create a new framework for boundaries and relationships in the future. For some, support groups can also be an invaluable outlet for healing.

When should an individual seek help for domestic abuse?
Victims of intimate partner violence should seek help immediately. It can take substantial time, planning, energy, and courage to leave an abusive relationship, but starting the process—by seeking therapy, calling the domestic violence hotline, or simply confiding in a loved one—will help them get there. Those who have left abusive relationships but haven’t sought treatment can also greatly benefit from therapy to process and heal from the experience.

What are the consequences of staying in an abusive relationship?
Remaining in an abusive relationship has serious repercussions. In addition to the ongoing threat of physical danger and emotional abuse, research shows that intimate partner violence is associated with a range of mental health disorders including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and substance abuse. Therefore it’s important for individuals in an abusive relationship to seek help as soon as possible.

How can you get domestic abuse treatment for someone else?
It can be very complicated to identify and leave an abusive relationship; barriers include the threat of violence, financial instability, and family pressures. Those concerned about a loved one in an abusive relationship should talk to them about the situation, provide them with resources such as the domestic violence hotline, and introduce the idea of seeing a therapist due to their concern for the person’s safety and well-being.
