I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with many years experience working with children, teenagers, adults and couples. I also have a great deal of experience working with families and groups. I have facilitated groups where drugs and/or alcohol addiction is a familial problem for many years. I have also worked with mood disorders such as Depression and Bipolar. My doctoral thesis was on the mediating effect of Art Therapy for the treatment of Trauma and Bereavement, as I believe in the benefits of working with many different modalities in psychotherapy.

I believe every individual has their own unique reality composed of life experiences, personality, knowledge and emotions that shape their perspectives of the world. I offer a safe, non judgemental space where you are able to deeply explore and process stressful life events and times of transition. A space where you are able to discover parts of yourself, seek meaning, recognise your personal power and honour your life story. My approach is firmly rooted in deep compassion, unconditional positive regard and a genuine openheartedness. “People only seriously consider change when they feel accepted for exactly who they are.”

As an IFS-trained-practitioner I support individuals and couples who feel overwhelmed, anxious, burnt out, stuck in repeating patterns, or disconnected from themselves. Many clients come during life transitions, relationship challenges, or when coping strategies no longer feel effective. In our work, I help you slow down, understand your inner emotional world, and meet difficult thoughts and feelings with compassion rather than judgment. Using an IFS-informed approach, we explore the different parts of you that carry stress or protection, so patterns begin to soften and you can reconnect with clarity, steadiness, and self-trust.

You woke up one day and didn’t quite recognise yourself. Maybe it was a career that disappeared, children leaving home, a move to a new country, or a body changing through perimenopause. Maybe you’ve spent so long being everything to everyone else that you’ve lost sight of who you actually are. I work with women standing at life’s crossroads - navigating transitions that shake their sense of identity and purpose. Together we slow down the noise, untangle what you’re feeling, and begin the work of rediscovering who you are. Not who you were. Who you are - right now, going forward.

I work with couples, individual adults, families and teens – navigating anxiety, stress, transitions, identity, low mood, life challenges, mental health conditions, and/or emotional exhaustion. With couples, I focus on communication, emotional safety, power dynamics, intimacy, and conflict patterns – helping partners move from reactivity to reconnection. In family and teen work, I create space for each voice to be heard, supporting healthier boundaries, emotional regulation, communication skills, and trust during often challenging developmental stages. With individuals, I assess their unique history and potential for transformation.

Are you withholding something from yourself and those you love? Struggling to solve conflict - in yourself or with others? Maybe your are facing big life-changes or you have to make big-life decisions that overwhelms you? You might experience a sense of purposelessness. Or you are struggling to keep up with all the demands and responsibilities of life. Well, do not fear. You might be here because this is your last resort. You might have tried denying your situation, maybe solving it yourself or even reaching out to others for help, but all to your dismay. You might ask, 'Who am I', 'Why am I here', 'Where am I heading in life'?

I believe that providing support to mothers during this fulfilling, yet challenging period will ultimately facilitate a healthy parent-infant relationship which provides the foundation for psychological health during childhood and eventually adulthood.
I prefer combining skills and elements from different psychotherapy approaches to suit each client’s needs. I am a registered Babies in Mind practitioner and completed Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT) Level 1 training.

What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
