It's the relationship that heals. That's the basis of more or less all therapy, it's certainly the starting place. There are many different reasons you might choose to work with a therapist. You might be feeling stuck, lost, frustrated with yourself, or something unexpected may have thrown you, or maybe your partner is nagging you to get help. Whatever the reason, and whether you have been to a therapist before or not, picking a therapist and going through the first few sessions can be a daunting process. I can’t guarantee that I’m the right therapist for you, but I would be honoured to journey with you.

I seek to help anyone dealing with traumatic experiences; as well as individuals who need help coping with daily life, and any significant life transitions. If your goal is to find healthy coping mechanisms, or to just move from a space of darkness into hopefulness, I will gladly facilitate that. Talk-therapy offers 50mins to just focus on yourself - something which, especially with the overwhelming nature of life- has become dearly important.

I see therapy as a genuine human encounter—one that goes beyond roles or techniques. I aim to be fully present in the room, bringing my whole self into the work, rather than performing as a distant expert. In my view, the most meaningful therapeutic work happens when both of us are able to show up as real people. Within that kind of relationship, deeper understanding, emotional clarity, and lasting change can occur. My work is insight-oriented, helping you to understand not only what you are feeling, but why—tracing patterns, meanings, and experiences across the life course.

I work with adolescents and adults from a neuroaffirming, holistic, and integrative perspective. I recognise that every person’s life story, strengths, and challenges are unique. Therefore, therapy unfolds at your pace meeting you where you are. I work with clients facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, emotional overwhelm, trauma, grief, behavioural difficulties, and life transitions. I also work with neurodiverse individuals, helping them explore their emotional and relational world while supporting self-advocacy, growth, regulation, and self-understanding.

I work with anyone who is looking to make a positive change in their lives. Counselling is a collaborative process where I hold the space for people to gain new insight into who and how they are, and then to work together to find better ways of navigating life's challenges that are practical, sustainable, and are rooted in a place of self-love.

If you’re going through a difficult time, therapy can be a place to pause and feel supported. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know where to start. This is a neurodiversity-affirming space for children, adolescents and adults, offering a calm, respectful environment where you can unmask and be yourself. Therapy is shaped around your needs and how your mind works, with a strengths-based approach to managing ongoing challenges. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, or changes in how you see yourself, you don’t have to navigate it alone. We can take things one step at a time.

I strive to help each client develop self-understanding and to make changes in their life. Change happens in life, but we are not always equipped with the tools to adapt to change. These change may have taken place in childhoods, adolescence or adulthood. It may have been a gradual or sudden change. I help my clients to adapt to their 'new normal' without judgement. “When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” Viktor E. Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning.

We all have habitual ways of responding to what happens in our lives. These patterns were often shaped by our experiences; both more recent events and those we experienced in childhood. We learn to survive. At times our old ways of coping become less functional as our lives and circumstances change and it becomes necessary pause and re-evaluate. Often this is a point where someone feels very stuck or overwhelmed and they need the support of a therapist. Let me help you connect, grow and heal.
