They may be struggling with anxiety, the impact of past trauma, or relationship difficulties that keep repeating familiar patterns.
I support individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma, and unhelpful thinking patterns. Counselling offers a safe, non-judgmental space to explore what keeps you feeling stuck and develop healthier ways of coping. I use a person-centred approach and BWRT, a neuroscience-based method that helps interrupt automatic thought patterns.

Counselling and therapy, along with various practical therapy tools such as psychometric assessments for personal development could enhance interpersonal relationships, facilitate personal growth and career development.
In dealing with life's challenges and pressures people may often find themselves feeling demotivated, discouraged and stuck. The demands of different life roles and multiple responsibilities may often lead to high stress levels and even a sense of burnout. Through counselling and therapy life challenges can be explored, and through a problem solving and impactful approach it could bring about solutions to foster new resilience, wellbeing and meaning.

Therapy is more than just talking; it involves learning practical tools and skills to help you cope with stress, hopelessness, past or recent trauma, social anxiety, relationship difficulties, or other life challenges you may be facing.
As a therapist, I aim to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel understood. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, addiction or simply need someone to talk to, therapy can help. Together, we can take meaningful steps toward healing and recovery. I use an integrative approach, drawing primarily from CBT modality, which focuses on changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, and psychodynamic therapy, which explores unconscious patterns and past experiences. I also incorporate other approaches tailored to your unique needs, helping you feel empowered and in control of your life.

Often, reaching out simply reflects a sense that something in your life, your relationships, or within yourself needs to change - or that you are longing for something different.
I begin by taking the time to understand your experiences. Beyond the challenges that have brought you here, I am interested in getting to know the person who has been carrying them. Together, we can create the space to make sense of your experiences, deepen your self-understanding, and explore meaningful ways of moving forward.

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
