I'm Bryony and I'm a Registered Counsellor (RC). As an RC I am here to extend psychological services and make them accessible to you. As a mother myself, I have a deep connection to working with new or expecting parents as they navigate the transition into parenthood. My door is always open and I am available over email to answer any pre-booking questions you might have about the counselling process.

Therapeutic relationship is very important for our work together.
“When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or “when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another” - Carl R. Rogers.

Drawing on Polyvagal Theory, I help clients recognise how the body holds experiences of trauma, stress, or relationship difficulties, and how learning to regulate the nervous system opens the door to clarity, connection, calm, and healing.
In therapy, we don’t just talk — we experiment. Together, we observe how your mind and body respond to triggers, explore new ways to relate to yourself and others, and develop practical strategies to navigate life’s challenges. It’s a space to understand, reset, and rebuild from the inside out.

If you're lying awake wondering whether you and your partner can find your way back to each other, this might be for you.
On the outside, your relationship may look "fine," but at home, you both know you're stuck. I'm Mareli Csabai, and I specialise in working with couples caught in repetitive cycles of conflict. I help couples break out of the same fight, rebuild communication, and reconnect after feeling distant or disconnected.

I treat anxious and depressed individuals as well as those in toxic relationships who struggle to escape emotional contamination.
I help both individuals and couples to become solution-focused rather than stay problem-based. You can't always change your circumstances but you can take charge of your responses to external circumstances, no mater how insurmountable they may seem. I use a combination of cognitive behaviour therapy and schema therapy to achieve these treatment goals.

Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
