I am a clinical psychologist working with adults and couples. People choose to start therapy for different reasons. Some may be facing a distressing time, whereas others may have long-standing difficulties which hold them back from a more fulfilling life. Therapy provides support and insight to effectively manage your difficulties, whilst accounting for your unique experience. It is a space to process your emotions, explore your behaviours and better understand yourself and your relationship dynamics. Couple's therapy can help you to understand and constructively address complex relationship dynamics to promote emotional connection.
With a focus on psychodynamic therapy, I enjoy working relationally. I endeavour to offer a non-judgmental and safe space to build a trusting therapeutic alliance- which allows for a meaningful process. This empowers the client to develop self-awareness and an exploration of past relationships and experiences to navigate present difficulties.
I understand that attending therapy can be a daunting decision and that it requires courage to face your difficulties. I am committed to creating a safe environment which helps you make meaning of your world, when it can feel overwhelming to even begin to understand it.
