It is normal and part of living to feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained or stuck at times in our lives. What we do about it will keep us stuck or help us grow. Sometimes, this struggle is loud, like anxiety, stress or a tough life event. Other times it is quieter; a loss of motivation, a persistent sense of disconnection, or an inner voice questioning our worth. Therapy provides a safe space, in our often very busy lives, to explore what lies beneath. I offer counselling to clients of diverse backgrounds, from individual adults, couples. pre-marital couples to families; my goal is to help them lead richer and happier lives.
I work with adult individuals, couples and families. My areas of interest include relationship/marital issues (and break-ups /post-divorce adjustment), life transitions, loss (grief etc), depression and anxiety. My particular interest is in relationships and why some work and others do not. My clients describe me as warm, insightful and quietly challenging.
As I understand how difficult it can be to open up and trust someone new, I approach this process with sensitivity and care, ensuring to create a safe, respectful and non-judgemental therapeutic space. I strongly believe for therapy to be effective, there must be honesty, commitment and a genuine therapeutic alliance between therapist and client.
