My ideal client is motivated and honest and prepare to face their issues. A client needs to be committed to the process of change to reach their goals. Their issues include amongst others, dealing with trauma, loss, meaning in life questions, depression, anxiety, fear of the future, lifespan developmental challenges, and relationships. Their goals would be to clarify their issues and identify potential causes, both by gaining insight in their internal worlds as well as their interpersonal behavior. They acknowledge the spiritual dimension of existence and seek a meaningful relationship with God.
I'm committed to actively listen to clients and reflect on what I hear to clarify the meaning of their messages. I will assist them to formulate realistic goals and plan a strategy to reach these goals. My strength is to show empathy and unconditional acceptance. I include the historical- family- and spiritual /worldview context of issues in my treatment.
