I work with both adult and adolescent in-patients and out-patients with a wide range of psychological challenges. I have experience in treating unipolar and bipolar mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma and stressor related disorders, personality disorders, substance related disorders, postpartum health, the impact of medical conditions on psychological wellbeing, bereavement, gender and sexuality challenges and relational challenges.
I am trained to use an integrative model for psychotherapeutic intervention, which means the best evidence based treatment is utilized which also includes the modality being the best fit for the client. I specifically draw on depth orientated modalities and CBT interventions where applicable.
Initiating therapy can feel scary and daunting. It helps to use your first session to ask necessary questions and see if the therapist is the right fit. Therapy can often feel like gazing into the most truthful and authentic mirror we can look into, I try to create a safe space where this inherently vulnerable process can lead to growth, wisdom and healing.
