My name is Lisa, and I am a registered psychologist based in Durban North, KwaZulu-Natal. Since hearing about psychology as a potential career when I was 14 years old, I intuitively knew that it was something I was meant to do. I am blessed to call my passion for helping people, my chosen profession. In the hurly-burly world of today, it is often so difficult to find someone who really listens. And that is where I come in. I am a talker too – but from the perspective of unpacking the real issues at heart - the issues that many of us battle to put words to, and ultimately understand.
Counselling or psychotherapy is an interpersonal relationship with the aim to improve an individual’s well being. Essentially, I deploy a variety of talk therapy techniques to improve my clients’ mental wellbeing. Using both short term counselling and longer term psychotherapy, I aim to provide a safe and supportive space.
