ARE YOU FEELING OVER WHELMED BY LIFE CHALLENGES? ARE CONFLICTS WITHIN IN YOUR FAMILY UNIT CAUSING YOU TO FEEL DSYREGULATED AND POWERLESS? I work in a collaborative manner with my clients to build their mental immunity by developing skills and coping mechanisms to assist them to navigate a more effective path through life obstacles. I offer affordable and accessible rates, which fill the gap in the mental health space. I have been married for 28 years and have 3 young adult daughters, and have therefore had both the personal, and counselling experience of maintaining healthy and functional family interactions.
My counselling style is based on positive psychology, focusing on forward thinking, whilst still being cognisant of past generational traumas and adverse conditions. My speciality areas include adolescent challenges, anxiety/depression; parenting challenges; relationships and dysfunctional behaviour that results in unhealthy soothing methods. (Addictions)
My counselling goals involve offering a safe and supportive environment that allows individuals to widen their world lens, thereby giving themselves an opportunity to gain more perspective, and an understanding of their and/or their family members current behaviour. I believe all humans can heal themselves in the right nurturing environment.
