About
Many individuals suffering from substance use disorders struggle for various reasons with traditional treatment. Some seek an alternative therapeutic approach to the traditional forms of abstinence based therapies when navigating the multifaceted issue of substance use disorders. An alternative therapeutic approach that "meets you where you are at" and looks at your experience holistically.
I am a psychology honours graduate that specializes in addiction. I have experience and training in incorporating the Harm Reduction school of thought within therapeutic treatment. This approach to addiction allows for the counsellor to meet the client where they are at in their recovery process and encourages client centered therapy.
It takes courage and strength when facing the complex issue of substance use. If you tired of being stuck in a repetitive pattern of substance use and would like to start making positive changes whether big or small in order to regain control of your life I would love to assist you in starting that process.
