I am Jodi Tromp practicing as a Clinical Psychologist in George, South Africa. My training and work experience includes providing assessments and psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults from various backgrounds and walks of life. I have work experience at Stikland Psychiatric Hospital, Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital as well as Steve Biko Tertiary Hospital and Akeso Clinic in George. I have post graduate training in Addiction treatment, which is a special interest of mine. Other interests include trauma for which I use Eye Movement Reprocessing and Desensitization Therapy (EMDR) and mood and relationship difficulties.
Therapy can be conducted in both English and Afrikaans. I use a person-centered, non-judgemental approach to create a safe environment for my clients to explore their inner most thoughts, emotions and fears. My approach is insight driven working toward self-awareness and building a life that you feel comfortable and safe in.
Therapy is a gift and a privilege that allows us a space to offer the most vulnerable parts of ourselves nurturance and kindness. You may feel a bit worse before you feel better and that is how you know it is working.
