I am a Counselling Psychologist in private practice, with 47 years’ therapeutic experience. I am registered with the Health Professions Counsel of South Africa and am committed to stay abreast of the latest and most applicable evidence based therapeutic approaches. My most important motivation is to support individuals through life’s challenges and fostering personal growth and flourishing despite possible challenges of mood disorders, ADHD, OCD or being neurodiverse. I value confidentiality and integrity. I believe that the empathic relationship is the foundation for flourishing.
I integrate the knowledge of self-directed neuroplasticity with Spiritual aspects. Depending on the client’s needs, goals and present situation, I can adjust the therapeutic approach to apply the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or CBT from a Christian perspective. Many of my clientele prefer the added value of a Christian approach.
I believe in creating a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental environment where clients feel heard and empowered. My practice integrates various therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique needs of each person, ensuring holistic and effective care.
