Counselling involves the supportive role provided by an empathic counsellor who facilitates a process of in depth self examination, awareness and healing in individuals and relationships. I guide this process by exploring deep rooted belief systems that drive behaviour and emotional reactions in everyday life, ultimately facilitating and providing support through the change process. Clients are given a warm and safe environment where they can express themselves openly and at their own pace, without fear of judgement.
My experience involves 10 years of counselling as a trained volunteer lay counsellor while completing my Psychology Degree and Honours Degree. My experience has highlighted that healing from past trauma and wounding, creates personal growth that is vital to relational success. I am passionate about helping people negotiate this aspect of their life journey.
