Hi, My name is Jacqui. I came upon the decision of going into Social Work and Play Therapy in 2018. What guided me to this decision was the realization that I had a passion for helping people and for working with children. I think my personality is what makes me able to communicate so easily with children. I am a person who is fun, loving and caring and if a phrase could describe me it would be that “I am a child at heart”. What I offer here at Pondering Possibilities is a service that will help you and your child navigate the stressors of life, through activities focused on therapy and play. Look forward to meeting you soon.

Whether you're an adult navigating life's challenges, a couple seeking a deeper understanding of your relationship, an adolescent finding your voice, or want to be part of a group searching for support, therapy can help transform struggles into strength.
Like the ancient art of Kintsugi, I believe that healing is not about erasing cracks but embracing them - filling the broken pieces with resilience, self-compassion and strength. Life's challenges can leave us feeling shattered, but with the self-reflection, self-awareness and the right support, those fractures can become part of a more beautiful, empowered version of ourselves. As a Clinical Psychologist, I help individuals navigate a vast array of mental health issues and life transitions, guiding them towards growth and wholeness. Together we can turn pain into wisdom and struggles into gold.

My ideal client feels overwhelmed, stuck, or quietly worn down from carrying too much for too long. They may look “fine” on the outside while struggling inside with trauma, grief, anxiety, or life changes. They don’t need to be in crisis — they just know something needs to shift. They’re longing for clarity, steadiness, and support that feels safe. They want practical tools, compassionate guidance, and space to heal at their own pace — without pressure, judgment, or having to explain everything perfectly. They’re ready to grow, gently, and to rebuild confidence, resilience, and a deeper sense of self-trust.

Effective therapy offers us real healing and transformation. It happens through expanded awareness, as we learn how to awaken to our unconscious purposes and the internal blocks that hold us back. We let go of the instinctual coping mechanisms that have formed our identity and begin to access our authentic, Divine Self. We become empowered with a sense of freedom and confidence - able to see new possibilities. My holistic approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy with EFT/Matrix Reimprinting energy healing to achieve the healing, growth and transformation you want in your life. I support adults, teens, couples, and families navigating grief, anxiety, identity questions, relationship strain, and major life transitions.
With nearly two decades of experience, I support people navigating life transitions, grief, identity questions, and complex emotional terrain. Growth is rarely linear. It asks us to face loss, uncertainty, and change while discovering who we are becoming. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where your story is taken seriously. Drawing on creative arts, narrative practice, and spiritual reflection where appropriate, I help you make sense of your experience, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, coherent, and truly your own.

Symptoms may include feelings of inadequacy, unworthiness, undeservingness, weight gain, ill health, anxiety, disconnection, depression, guilt, shame, and self-blame. The goal is to help you navigate these challenges, and rediscover your sense of self.

Clients interested is self-development and growth, conflict management in the workplace or in personal life, solution -focused therapy in crises. Ive written a Book on self-empowerment in close relationships - and view conflict in relationship as a signal that something needs to change and then co-creating solutions with client(s). My style is conversational and also incisive so that clear goals and desired outcomes can be managed from the outstart. Systems thinking is also a central part of the work -so that the context and available support systems also feature in the healing process.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
