I work integratively, drawing primarily from psychodynamic psychotherapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy ( DBT), tailoring the approach to the unique needs, pace, and goals of each client.
I have a particular passion for working with children (3+) and use play and creativity to help them express what may be difficult to put into words. Alongside this, I provide psychotherapy to adolescents, adults and family therapy, supporting individuals to better understand themselves, their relationships, and recurring patterns that may be causing distress

I am a Clinical Psychologist who works with people across the lifespan through a wide range of difficulties. Central to my work is an existential philosophy — The belief that therapy is not only about alleviating distress, but also about discovering meaning, embracing uncertainty, and moving toward a more authentic and fulfilling way of being.

Adversity is inevitable in life. Trauma, family struggles, relationship difficulties, mental illness, stress, or life’s day-to-day speed bumps are part of the human experience. Some of these challenges can be too overwhelming; negatively impacting quality of life, productivity, relationships, mood and thoughts.

I have experience in helping clients with challenges relating to depression, anxiety, trauma and grief - as symptoms of existing conditions, and/or as responses to circumstantial stress. I am also experienced in helping clients with the management of neurodivergent disorders (ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder). My approach pulls away from over analysis and rumination, towards figuring out how to sustainably feel and be better. This is accomplished by emphasising healthy thinking, health feeling and healthy behaving.

I am DBT-trained, a PGAP provider and a Sensory Intelligence licensee.
I work as an occupational therapist, with a special focus on mental health and vocational rehabilitation. I like Arthur Ashe's quote: "Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can." This is the heart of what we do: we walk alongside people of all ages, helping them to re-engage with the roles and activities that bring meaning to their lives. It’s an incredible privilege to witness someone reclaim their confidence—especially when they return to work and start doing things they once thought were out of reach. In many ways, I see my role as a professional cheerleader—backed by science, strategy, and heart.

Using CBT and DBT techniques together with sand tray therapy, I help individuals develop coping skills and emotional balance.
Together, we’ll uncover patterns, set clear goals, and create lasting strategies to help you feel more confident, connected, and in control of your life. I love using sand tray therapy for all psychological problems, as it opens the way to self discovery and behaviour patterns which can bring in cognitive and healthy changes.

Dialectical Behaviour (DBT) Counsellors
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behaviour and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behaviour, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioural change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behaviour; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
