I have 6 years of counselling experience with adults, teens, and families.
Being human is hard. Perhaps you’re wrestling with grief after a loss, struggling to adapt to big life changes, or feeling the weight of anxiety, dread, sadness, or heartbreak. You might find yourself alone in a crowded room, uncertain of how to express your needs or maintain meaningful connections. You want relief from the relentless inner critic, clarity on the next step, and the confidence to ask for and receive support. Ultimately, you’re craving a sense of stability, self‑understanding, and the ability to navigate life’s twists and turns without feeling overwhelmed or isolated.

I believe everyone has the ability to create a life worth living, yet modern life often presents us with challenges that feel overwhelming and prevent us living congruently with our authentic values. Whether you are navigating a sudden crisis, managing a chronic condition, or want to better understand yourself and your relationships, psychotherapy can be a catalyst for insight, relief, change or resilience. I don’t believe in a "one size fits all" approach and use evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs.

Hello/Salam, I'm Sabeeha. Life has a way of piling things on, such as family expectations, relationship strain, anxiety, grief, or simply the quiet exhaustion of being the one who holds everything together. Asking for help can feel like the hardest thing in the world. In many communities it carries weight it shouldn't, stigma, shame, weakness of having to do it on your own. If any of that resonates, you're in the right place.

My ideal client appears strong on the outside but feels overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted within. They may be navigating grief, trauma, attachment wounds, depression, or the impact of a major life or medical change. They need a safe, attuned space to understand their patterns and regulate intense emotions. Their goal is not just symptom relief, but deeper healing stronger relationships, resilience, clarity, and a renewed sense of identity and self-trust.

I help people who are stuck, in their heads or in undigested emotions, or in difficult life circumstances, relationships and families. I teach that the only person you can change is yourself, but when you do, the ripple effect is massive. Be the change you want to see, never mind what trauma has led to your anxiety, depression etc. We're all addicts: we all have devoted habits or coping mechanisms. After a while these harm us. Find another way. I use a Transpersonal approach because it's v effective. This means I remind you you are connected to something greater than yourself, however you define that - and how to employ that daily.

As a therapist I solely believe in the following: “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it’s faced” - James Baldwin. I have confidence in the fact that each of us has an inner voice, the necessary strength and ‘resilience’ to become the best versions of ourselves and to conquer life’s challenges, we just need a little bit of love and guidance to help us out of that ‘lost’ feeling.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
