I enjoy working with individuals who want to understand their minds and how their past and present may impact their futures. I focus on talk-based therapy by creating a harmonious and safe relationship to explore you and your life together. I don't work in a way that is directly focused on solving specific problems, and prefer to work with individuals happy to join me in a journey of healing and growth over a longer term. I am not a therapist who will tell you what to do, or give a lot of advice, and that may be best found with someone else if that is what you need. I am a LGBTQIA+ & kink affirming therapist.

I’m a trauma-informed drama therapist working with couples, adults, and adolescents navigating relationship conflicts, anxiety, grief, chronic health conditions (including scoliosis and autoimmune conditions), as well as life transitions such as relocating abroad, becoming a parent, or changing careers.
Drama therapy is a creative, somatic approach that integrates with other therapeutic frameworks. My work focuses on bodily experience and draws on modern neuroscience to understand the impacts of trauma and adverse experiences, alongside psychodynamic developmental perspectives—exploring how the past impacts the present and how to transform these patterns.

With over 8 years of expertise, I've assisted adults, teenagers, and families facing crises.
If you’re a young adult trying to make sense of all the things—adulting, identity, stress, anxiety, big life questions—you’re in the right place. I offer a supportive, judgment-free space where you can unpack, explore, and grow at your own pace. As a counsellor, I blend traditional talk therapy with creative approaches like art-based counselling and guided meditation. Why? Because sometimes words aren’t enough—and that’s okay. Whether you’re a doodler, daydreamer, deep thinker or all of the above, we’ll find ways to express and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface.

My ideal clients are individuals, couples, and families who are tired of simply "surviving" and are ready to begin thriving. I specifically serve: The Overwhelmed Professional or Parent: Those carrying the heavy mental load of modern life, often feeling like they are "pouring from an empty cup" and struggling with burnout or silent anxiety. The Grieving Heart: Individuals who have faced significant loss—whether the death of a loved one, a career shift, or the end of a season—and need a sacred space to process their sorrow without judgment. Couples at a Crossroads: Partners who still love each other but have lost their "language"

In this modern world we live in, we are exposed and overwhelmed by what we hear and see on a daily basis. Our "normal" now are days filled with violence, crime, trauma, stress, depression and burnout from long working hours and a rushed lifestyle. Our coping mechanisms are now drugs, alcohol and sex. All destructive. When we reach out and ask for help it is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength. It is a way to learn new coping skills and how to use them when facing our world and the challenges in it.

I am passionate about seeing how people create meaningful relationships, both with themselves and in their environment, that assists them to develop and self-actualise. The way I work is from an Integrative Interactional Approach, this means that I see the individual as a holistic system, by looking at both the person’s internal psychological processes and how a person relates to their environment. How we interact with ourselves, our environment, and the people around us determines our well-being.

I have 6 years of counselling experience with adults, teens, and families.
Being human is hard. Perhaps you’re wrestling with grief after a loss, struggling to adapt to big life changes, or feeling the weight of anxiety, dread, sadness, or heartbreak. You might find yourself alone in a crowded room, uncertain of how to express your needs or maintain meaningful connections. You want relief from the relentless inner critic, clarity on the next step, and the confidence to ask for and receive support. Ultimately, you’re craving a sense of stability, self‑understanding, and the ability to navigate life’s twists and turns without feeling overwhelmed or isolated.

A typical client is someone who has been carrying more than they can hold for far too long. On the surface they may appear to be functioning (showing up for work, family, friends) but on the inside they are feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck. Such a client is at risk for reaching a breaking point which may lead to acute stress, anxiety, or depression.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
