Many people I meet are seeking meaningful connection; they yearn to be listened to, fully seen and understood for who they truly are. They need to belong. I believe that if we all stood in a circle and held hands, each of us could take a little love from the person on their right, absorb what they need and pass the remainder on, to the person on their left. Is this not our role on the planet - to nourish and uplift one another as best we can?

Therapy is a space created for you, a place where you can safely explore and begin to see familiar challenges from new perspectives. Together, we can gently uncover insights, deepen your understanding of yourself, and make sense of the experiences you bring. While the process can sometimes feel challenging, you won’t be navigating it alone. I’m here to support and guide you with care, compassion, and respect, moving at a pace that feels right for you. Every story you share is honoured, and your experiences are valued. This space is yours, to settle into, to feel supported in, and to begin your journey towards healing.

When life feels fractured — through conflict, loss, or major transition — I help individuals, couples, and families move toward clarity, stability, and renewed harmony.
As a CPSC-accredited Christian counsellor, accredited family and divorce mediator, and parenting coordinator — and a pastor in the Order of Christian Service — I bring clinical, pastoral, and mediation expertise to every session. I also support clients through pet loss, a grief that is real but often goes unacknowledged.

This is therapy designed not simply to help you cope, but to support lasting clarity, resilience, and a more grounded, confident relationship with yourself.
Psychological distress often presents quietly. It might be persistent anxiety, a low mood, relational strain, trauma, or a gradual sense of disconnection from yourself and your direction. At pivotal moments, thoughtful and skilled therapeutic support can create the space for clarity, recalibration, and deeply meaningful change. I maintain a practice model that ensures therapeutic depth, attentiveness, and genuine engagement in the therapeutic process. You can expect to be met with warmth, discernment, and respect - your inner world approached with care and thoughtful curiosity. A journey of discovery and understanding together.

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
