I work in a long term psychoanalytic way which is suitable for patients who would like to work deeply with their issues and feelings. Patients who are hoping to grow in themselves, and enrich their interpersonal experiences would find this a rewarding approach.

I work with children from two years old, adolescents and adults that are experiencing behavioural, emotional, academic and career-related problems due to difficulties with adjustment. Having had much exposure and experience with different types of trauma, I am passionate about working with all spheres of trauma, particularly with children. Career assessment and subject choice for scholars is an area I enjoy assisting with. Having worked with many individuals that develop psychological issues from studying subjects that they are not passionate about, or being in a career that does not promote self-actualisation.

If you’re a young adult trying to make sense of all the things—adulting, identity, stress, anxiety, big life questions—you’re in the right place. I offer a supportive, judgment-free space where you can unpack, explore, and grow at your own pace. As a counsellor, I blend traditional talk therapy with creative approaches like art-based counselling and guided meditation. Why? Because sometimes words aren’t enough—and that’s okay. Whether you’re a doodler, daydreamer, deep thinker or all of the above, we’ll find ways to express and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface.

I am available online or face to face.
I believe that the foundation of a successful therapeutic space is the relationship the client has with their therapist and vice versa. Therefore my therapeutic stance is relationally focused. I’m psychodynamically trained but also use other modalities like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Life can be overwhelming, and sometimes, we all need a safe space to express what we're going through without fear of judgment. I believe in the powerful truth that it’s okay to not be okay. Struggles, doubts, and hardships are part of being human, and seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Through compassionate listening and practical counselling skills, I provide a space where you can be honest about your feelings and challenges. My goal is to help you navigate life’s ups and downs with understanding, resilience, and self-compassion. You don’t have to have all the answers right away, you just need a place to start.

Mental Health is essential to overall well-being, but it can be affected by life experiences and challenges. Choosing to begin therapy is a courageous step, as it helps individuals understand and cope with these challenges.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
