About
Evexia Psychiatric Day Hospitals are the first ever licenced psychiatric day hospital in South Africa. At Evexia, we aim to minimize the disruption to your daily life as you return to your home at the end of each day with us. We strive to provide excellent, holistic, healthcare using our multi-professional approach. Evexia will help you understand yourself better and we will work with you to develop a plan to continue your journey after you have left us. Always remember, we are here for you. We welcome referrals from any healthcare professional, friends, or family. Self-referral is also welcome.
Evexia is staffed by a carefully selected multi-professional team (psychiatry, psychotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics and social work). Evexia runs both adult and adolescents programs every weekday from 07h30 to 16h00. Adolescents from the age of 12 are welcome. Adolescents are treated in groups separate from our adult patients.
Evexia is ready for you. If you are feeling overwhelmed by your feelings, thoughts and daily living; If you are angry and irritable, in what feels like an unreasonable way; If you are feeling trapped by anxiety and fear that may even lead to debilitating panic; If you have no energy for anything and feel withdrawn, despondent, detached and lonely.
