I'm passionate about supporting my clients of various ages & from different backgrounds. I hope that together we can confront the challenges you face for a positive & fulfilling oucome. My practice is eclectic & personable, focusing on confidentiality, respect, positivism & validation. I incorporate several modalities eg. CBT, ACC, DBT & expressive therapy. My background is broad & includes working in SA & NZ in special needs education, maternal mental health, sex abuse therapy, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship challenges & adaptation, amongst others. I counsel in English, but do understand Afrikaans. Call me.
I'm passionate about working with clients & focus on a strength-based client- centred approach. My goal is to work with clients to develop new insights & healing. I use an eclectic model, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy & Expressive Therapy, dependent on my clients' personal needs.
I enjoy working with clients who opt to engage in a therapeutic process that is respectful, professional & confidential. I love helping clients understand the genesis of their trauma; to empower them towards positive change. As an ex- teacher, wife, mum & gran, I consider myself to be able to relate to clients of different ages, backgrounds & circumstances.
