With the ever-changing, fast paced and demanding world we live in, living in “harmony” is becoming more challenging. All we may need is to make sense of, refine or redefine how we live, work, socialise and express our core purpose. My life and work experiences create the space for conversations of “discovery and expression” – no matter who you are or what you are going through.
Registered Counsellors are there to help you deal with personal issues before they get out of hand. We aspire to prevent mental disorders from developing rather than treating them once they have developed. We don’t work with people who have a clinical diagnosis, but we are able to refer you to the right type of psychological practitioner who can. I can help you work on areas such as Grief and Bereavement, Self-Esteem and Body Image Issues, Acute Depression & Anxiety, Overcoming Trauma, General Coping and Adjustment Challenges, Behaviour Management (children), and COVID-19 Related Stress
I believe that each person is an incredibly unique and complex being. I do my utmost to fully understand who you are. Whether you have a specific goal for therapy, or whether you are sitting with a vague sense that something in your life is just not right, I want to help you understand it. I believe that people's experiences of relationships play a role in how they view themselves and others. I therefore prioritize creating a safe space to explore your concerns.
I am passionate about mental health and through therapy I seek to positively transform lives and ensure holistic growth for individuals. The approach that I often use is informed by the client’s presentation and needs. Seeking psychological assistance is a brave step that shows strength rather than weakness. People continuously strive to better themselves and I am happy to provide a safe space that allows them to do that.

You are unique, with your own strengths and weaknesses. With the right perspective and tools, you can overcome great challenges. In fact, there is much to be gained by working through your challenges - a fuller, more authentic and abundant life. But admitting that you're facing troubles, that you need assistance or that you do not feel fulfilled is the first step. My ideal client is someone who needs a safe space & an empathetic ear to work through their difficulties, and to discover the hope that lies beyond what they have experienced.
I see a range of clients, including those that are generally happy and successful in their lives but are facing a challenge with relationships or work and need some extra support in that area. I offer counselling and life coaching. Clients will come to me with a range of problems and often feel confused. In our work we will clarify the problem and see what is most challenging for you at the present time. We will discover where this confusion arises in the body and mind and be able to see what started it. Perhaps this has been triggered in the past: by an environment, people, a person, upbringing etc. The work we do is non-judgemental and my purpose is to help you find your way out of the confusion and suffering, so you can find success, purpose and meaning in your life. I will be with you all the way
I started studying BA Psychology at Nelson Mandela University in 2014. I then went on to do my BPsych degree which included a 6 month internship. After graduation I took on a post at a remedial school where I was teaching the foundation phase class. This gave me a lot of insight into children with special needs. My time at the school allowed me to complete my registration with the Health Professions Counsel of South Africa (HPCSA), Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF) as well as registering myself with some medical aids. I have recently moved into private practice and have thoroughly enjoyed working with all my clients so far.
I believe that mental health is an integral part of our well-being which is underpinned by an appreciation of the intricate interplay between the mind, environment, and physiology. Life challenges should not steal your joy but rather be an opportunity for personal growth. I believe that attitude is key therefore changing your perspective about life is a big step towards healing and living a better quality of life. Just like physical health mental health is something to be celebrated and worth investing in. -Carpe Diem-
