Music therapy has proven benefits for people facing challenges in mental health, or simply interested in self-growth. During group or individual sessions clients learn how to connect with others, and practise presence & flow through improvisation. No musical experience necessary. Other MT specialisation areas include motor-neuron disease (Parkinson's, Stroke) speech & developmental delay and neurodiversity (Autism spectrum), as well as Alzheimer's disease. Music is a therapeutic medium which bypasses verbal processes and activates more parts of the brain than any other activity.

During group or individual sessions clients learn how to connect with others, and experience positive emotions by practising 'presence' through joint improvisation. No musical experience necessary.

Music Therapy

Weekly group meetings focus on exploration of joint music-making also known as improvisation. Improvisation helps us to practise 'presence' and being in the moment where we may experience joy and connection with others. Particularly helpful for those who struggle with past or future thinking (anxious and depressive thoughts) or inhibition, or who face relating challenges. No musical experience necessary!
