Common issues that I typically work with in the the counselling space include - but are not limited to - stress, coping techniques, adapting to major life changes (e.g., changing cities, schools, jobs), relationship difficulties, coping with divorce, break-ups, addiction, difficulties with emotional regulation, and coping with loss.
I help clients navigate complex life challenges, relationship difficulties, and mental health challenges by helping them become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours surrounding specific life events. The overarching aim is to help clients improve their sense of wellbeing, increase self-awareness, improve relationships, and boost resilience.
Each life-season comes with its own challenges, wins, and losses. Some seasons can be incredibly difficult and overwhelming, and we may struggle to face them without the necessary tools in our 'emotional toolbox.' The aim of our sessions is to build up these 'tools' and learn to approach our adversity with resilience, openness, and effective communication.
