Dear reader, hello! My name is Aimee and I am a clinical psychologist practicing in Bergvliet. I work with adolescents and adults. I have a special interest in family therapy, trauma, bereavement, anxiety, depression, and adjustment related problems. In terms of my work with adolescents, I work alongside parents and caregivers as I believe the adolescent's presenting problem often originates within the family system. It is therefore crucial that the family is prepared to enter into therapy along with the adolescent.

I work mainly from an integreative perspective, meaning I make use of a variety of theories in psychology (mainly narrative, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural therapy) in order to provide treatment that is best suited to the needs of each client. I also incorporate research on hope in my sessions, as I believe hope is crucial in overcoming adversity.

I provide a safe, warm and unintimidating space for each client with the client's best interests at the heart of my practice.
