Cedar Psychology was established to cater to different mental health needs within a safe, non-judgmental and containing environment. We all have our ups and downs, where support from family and friends can be enough to help us manage our stress. Sometimes we may feel that we need more. Some may enter therapy because they have felt sad, worried, confused, angry, or numb for a long time, or would like help processing their past. Others may enter therapy because of sudden life changes such as the loss of a loved one, work/school stressors or relationship difficulties. Whatever your reason may be, support is available.
I specialise in individual therapy (adolescents, adults & geriatrics), couples therapy and group therapy. Psychological assessments are available including dementia assessments. I primarily work from a psychodynamic orientation but have training in different therapeutic techniques, allowing me to tailor therapy to your individual needs.
Empowerment occurs through uncovering defences and bringing unconscious patterns of engaging to the level of awareness, facilitating healing.
