Luke D. Smillie, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and director of the Personality Processes Lab in the School of Psychological Sciences at the University of Melbourne. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Queensland and held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of London. He has published over 75 articles, chapters, and books on a range of topics in personality psychology, including motivation, emotion, wellbeing, reward sensitivity, prosociality, morality, working memory, and decision-making. He is currently an Associate Editor for Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and a consulting editor for Journal of Research in Personality. He is also a co-author of An Introduction to Personality, Individual Differences and Intelligence, published by Sage.
