Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorder Treatment
Long celebrated for its expertise in providing highly advanced treatments for a wide variety of mental health concerns, WJCS now brings this same approach to the treatment of substance use and co-occurring mental health & substance use disorders. WJCS' Substance Use Disorder and Co-Occurring Disorders Program meets people where they are in their recovery process, focusing on the individual's goals for recovery whether those are to reduce use, reduce harms associated with use, or to achieve abstinence. This all occurs through outpatient group and individual appointments with our expert substance use and mental health health specialists. Difficulties with all substances are treated, including marijuana, opioids, alcohol, nicotine, sedatives, cocaine, methamphetamine, hallucinogens, and others. In addition, the program treats related cooccurring mental health issues, such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. The program is ideal for youth, adults, and families, whether they are just starting their recovery process, or continuing their recovery from inpatient or residential care, & accepts clients who are self-pay, have commercial insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare. WJCS' comprehensive approach to the treatment of substance use and co-occurring disorders emphasizes individual, family, group, and medication-based evidence-based practices that provide the strongest foundation for recovery available. This approach is complemented with wraparound supports, including peer support, case management, and vocational/educational counseling that assures that all factors related to recovery are addressed. Evidence-base approaches available at WJCS include: Invitation to Change, Encompass, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for Substance Use Disorders, Seeking Safety, Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy, Wellness Recovery Action Planning, SMART Recovery, trauma therapies, and more, all honoring individuals’ goals, whether those are harm reduction or abstinence. Our “no-wrong door” philosophy, culturally-competent, compassionate, trauma-focused care and high quality evidence-based programming has earned us our “provider of choice” reputation in the county. Our Intensive Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program provides a comprehensive level of care that includes groups, individual and family therapy, peer support services, and psychiatric care. When individuals complete the program, they have the option of continuing care through WJCS' Encompass Treatment Program where they can continue to receive peer support services and psychiatric care, as well as weekly individual therapy that addresses substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns, all of which helps individuals to fully achieve their goals. In addition, the loved ones of substance-involved individuals can also receive their own support from our CRAFT treatment program to aid them and their substance-involved loved ones achieve and sustain lasting and meaningful change.
