Substance Abuse Recovery at Clearbrook
Do you feel hopeless? Has alcoholism and/or drug addiction completely taken over your life and destroyed the lives around you? Have you promised yourself and the ones you love that you will stop tomorrow, yet tomorrow never comes? Substance Abuse Recovery begins at Clearbrook Treatment Centers. Our dedicated and compassionate team understands what you are going through and how you feel. We also know that there is hope for sobriety, because many of our team members are in recovery themselves. With over 40 years of experience in the field of Drug & Alcohol Treatment, our highly trained staff make certain that each patient receives the individual care, education and treatment that they deserve. The mission of Clearbrook Treatment Centers is to help the dependent person achieve two goals: abstinence from all mood and mind altering chemicals and a new way of living, free from the mental obsession to abuse drugs and alcohol. As we understand our program is only the very beginning to the life-long pursuit of recovery, we make it our mission to provide our patients with effective care and programming, as well as tools to maintain lasting sobriety.
Our Programs and Facilities
Secluded in the beautiful mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania, with a panoramic view of the Wyoming Valley, patients at Clearbrook have the ability to get on the path to wellness in a serene and quiet environment. Although established in 1972, Clearbrook constructed new state-of-the-art buildings in 2010, including a new 22-bed free standing sub-acute detox unit, dining hall, kitchen, office building, counselors' offices, and dormitory for residing patients. Our program is divided into two separate components of treatment: detoxification and inpatient rehab. Our detox unit is staffed by medical professionals 24-hours a day, assuring our patients' medical needs are addressed around-the-clock. Once the detoxification portion of treatment is complete, each patient will participate in our therapeutic programming, including group therapy, didactic lectures, and relapse prevention education. Furthermore, every patient will be assigned an individual counselor to manage their case, address any needs and concerns, and work closely with the family unit. As important as therapy is to the addicted individual, we believe family education and treatment is equally as important. Thus, we provide a Family Educational Program 3 weekends a month to address the effects of drug and alcohol addiction on the lives of the family members.
Our Treatment Approach
Our treatment approach is based upon the Minnesota Model, otherwise known as the abstinence model. In conjunction with a myriad of therapies, such as individual, group, and relapse prevention, Clearbrook utilizes the 12 steps and principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. In a structured and encouraging environment, adult men and women will begin to recover from substance abuse. We recognize that each patient we serve is their own individual and has unique needs. Everyone comes into treatment throughout different stages of their addiction. What may be a pertinent issue for one person may not be relevant for the next. That is why, each patient will receive customized treatment goals and plans, specifically designed to address those needs and circumstances. From legal obligations to unhealthy living situations, our team will assist in providing conducive and healthy solutions. During the treatment stay, our clinical team will work closely with the patient and outside supports to construct a continued care plan that will best serve the patient. Options for after treatment can include outpatient therapy, extended care, and sober living. It is our mission to give each patient the best possible chance toward lasting substance abuse recovery.
