Wildflower Center for Emotional Health's Groups
Pregnancy + Postpartum Support Groups
Under the best of circumstances, the transition to motherhood is an unpredictable, all-encompassing, and often bewildering journey. Experiencing it during the coronavirus pandemic is an entirely uncharted territory. Let us support you in facing the challenges of this unprecedented time in a nurturing community of women who understand what you may be going through. We are stronger together. These two separate weekly groups are held via a secure, telehealth platform and you can participate from the comfort of your home. There is no minimum session commitment to join either group and both groups have rolling admissions.
Infertility Support Group
No person feels prepared to confront infertility and the grief, isolation, and fear that may follow the diagnosis. COVID-19 created unprecedented disruptions in daily living and medical care, including fertility treatment. You may have felt even more uncertain and hopeless. You are not alone. This weekly group will focus on supporting you through losses associated with the infertility diagnosis and treatment, social isolation, COVID-19, mood and anxiety challenges, and impacts on self-esteem and relationships. The group is held via a secure, telehealth platform. There is no minimum session commitment to join the group.
Mindful Coping Group
Dealing with distress alone and without support is rarely effective or healthy. At a time when our world is being turned upside down by the pandemic and physical distancing creates an intense potential for isolation, it is important to seek connection and support. The group offers a virtual gathering space and an opportunity to learn, connect, and practice being intentional about how we manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelm during these turbulent times. The primary focus of the group is the practice of mindfulness meditation and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) skills. This group is offered via secure telehealth platform.
