Benefits of Medication-Assisted Treatment
At Wichita Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), we offer medication-assisted treatment, or MAT, for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid addictions. Recommended by respected organizations such as the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), MAT can be a safe and effective way to treat opioid addiction. Through a combination of prescription medication and counseling, people who receive MAT may be better able to cease opioid use and work toward long-term recovery. MAT can also help people remain in treatment, improve social functioning, and maintain employment. In our comprehensive MAT program, patients can receive highly personalized care while engaging with supportive professionals in a convenient outpatient setting. The medications we offer can relieve the challenging symptoms and cravings that may accompany opioid withdrawal, while our individual and group therapies can deliver valuable education, reduce feelings of isolation, and help patients address the mental and emotional challenges of recovery. What to Expect
Some methadone clinics might provide one type of medication for patients. However, our Comprehensive Treatment Center offers methadone, Suboxone, or buprenorphine as part of each patient’s individualized treatment plan. When you begin treatment at our CTC, we will work with you to complete a thorough assessment of your individual needs. Our professional staff will also make a recommendation for the medication you are prescribed based on an evaluation of your health and substance use history. At Wichita CTC, our staff aims to provide compassionate care that carefully considers your treatment goals and your unique history and experiences. An important part of your customized treatment, counseling can provide you with valuable opportunities to work toward your personal recovery goals. In individual therapy, you may explore your struggles with opioid addiction and develop new, healthier strategies that can help you achieve success in your ongoing recovery. In group therapy, you can learn from peers while receiving guidance from a skilled professional. Our Comprehensive Treatment Center
Wichita CTC is in Wichita, Kansas, less than 2 miles from the Old Town area and close to the Riverside and MacAdams neighborhoods. At our CTC, we recognize that recovery from an opioid addiction can look different for everyone. So, we strive to treat each person who takes part in our MAT program as an individual and to tailor their programming to best fit their needs. We understand that you may have a lot of questions when you seek care at our CTC. We aim to provide transparency throughout the treatment process, encouraging you to ask questions about the medication and therapies you may receive. The overarching goal of our dedicated staff is to help each patient acquire tools that can lead them to greater health and well-being.
