Outpatient Addiction Treatment
The Midtown Center is a comprehensive not-for-profit outpatient program for the evaluation and treatment of chemically dependent individuals and their significant others. As faculty of Weill Cornell Medical College, a world-renowned academic and research institution, we offer cutting edge techniques and treatment of substance abuse. Clinical team members come from a variety of rich and diverse academic backgrounds in the fields of medicine, psychology, social work and counseling with special interest and certification in the field of alcoholism and substance abuse. Intake and Treatment Evaluation includes a psychiatric evaluation by a member of Midtown Center's medical staff, one intake evaluation session, and a urine toxicology screen. Our programs are also responsive to the needs of working professionals. Clients work with our experts to design their own treatment plan, which include group counseling, individual counseling, and psychiatric consultation. In addition to learning the skills necessary for recovery, treatment helps clients achieve a healthier work/life balance. Some of the groups we offer include, Emotional Regulation, Mindfulness in Recovery, Advanced Recovery, Identifying Triggers, Creative Recovery, Trauma 101 and individual EMDR offered. Providing Complete Support
We also offer a Buprenorphine/Suboxone program, in accordance with NYS OASAS guidelines, to support individuals who are dependent on opiates (prescription pain killers, heroin, methadone) and who will benefit from outpatient detoxification or maintenance. Group/individual services and urine toxicology monitoring are inherent in this approach, which enables individuals to receive the necessary support to achieve abstinence through medication assisted treatment.
