When someone is suffering from an opioid addiction, it can be devastating. But with the right treatment, they can stop abusing opioids and start living a more productive life. At Winchester Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), we provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with an opioid addiction. This time-tested approach combines medication with counseling, which allows people to heal physically and emotionally. When someone participates in MAT at Winchester CTC, they are prescribed a medication that eases cravings and lessens painful withdrawal symptoms. These medications don’t cause feelings of euphoria and often help participants feel more clearheaded, so they are able to engage more fully in counseling sessions. It’s during therapy that people often get to the root of what may have led them to start abusing opioids in the first place. These sessions can also help them make important behavioral and lifestyle changes. With effective medication and counseling, people can set the groundwork for lasting recovery.

Archstone Counseling & Treatment is a collection of therapists who share a similar vision of being trauma-focused and committed to providing quality groups and individual sessions to help clients with trauma, addictions and complex situations. Our main program is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for individuals struggling with Substance Use Disorders. We offer EMDR, a specialized form of trauma therapy and neurofeedback (LENS) which we extend to our IOP clients at no extra charge to the client. Our IOP meets Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have an afternoon group that meets from 12 to 3 pm and an evening group that meets from 6 to 9 pm.

Encore Outpatient Services is an addiction treatment center in Arlington, VA that offers partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and general outpatient treatment for substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and trauma. Encore also offers general outpatient programming for mental health challenges, process addiction, and trauma. Offering these various levels of care at one location and with one dedicated treatment team enables Encore to offer treatment to patients who are in various stages of change and recovery, and supports a fluid transition in the continuum of care as patients transition from one program to another. Cross Keys Equine Therapy provides equine-assisted services to individuals, couples, families and groups, which is separated into Trauma-Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (TF-EAP) and Trauma-Informed Equine Assisted Learning (TI-EAL). We help our clients take ownership of truths in their lives by allowing horses to teach them how to be authentic, and present; how to seek open and honest communication with others; and how to take care of themselves by giving and receiving trust and respect. Our TF-EAP sessions are facilitated by either a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or a Supervisee in Social Work which ensures high-quality and ethical mental health services.
