Adult Partial Hospitalization Program
Vermilion Behavioral Health Systems, located in Lafayette, Louisiana, is an adult outpatient treatment center offering care for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with mental health concerns and co-occurring addictions. Our Visions outpatient program includes a partial hospitalization program (PHP), which is available to patients as either a step-down service after inpatient care or as a stand-alone treatment option. Our PHP typically runs for six weeks, and patients can attend programming five days a week. Some of the concerns we treat in our Visions PHP include bipolar disorder, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, anger, and impulse control difficulties. PHP patients have access to weekly psychiatric services and can receive medication management from psychiatrists, nurses, and other clinicians if appropriate. Social workers and therapists may lead individual therapy sessions as needed. Family and group therapies are also available, with group therapy sessions occurring daily and covering topics such as mental illness education, coping skills, goal setting, stress management, and self-esteem. Adult Intensive Outpatient Program
Our adult outpatient treatment center in Lafayette, Louisiana, offers an intensive outpatient program (IOP) in which patients can make progress toward healing in a supportive therapeutic setting. In our Visions IOP, patients typically attend treatment three days per week, and the full program lasts for approximately six weeks. Our Visions IOP serves adults age 18 and older who are experiencing symptoms of concerns such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, grief, compulsive behaviors, and co-occurring addictions. We also offer group therapy sessions where topics such as symptom management, relapse prevention, conflict resolution, and relationship and communication skills are discussed. Psychotherapy, process, and psychoeducation groups are all group therapy types patients might engage in while receiving care in our IOP. Through our IOP, we strive to help patients gain insights about mental health conditions they may be facing, develop tools to cope with life’s challenges, and improve overall functioning and independence. At Vermilion’s adult outpatient treatment center, our primary treatment modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), and the 12-Step model of recovery.
