Each client will participate in over 18 hours of group therapy weekly. Clients will also be assigned a primary therapist with whom they will have weekly individual and group sessions. Later in treatment our clients will secure a part time job, volunteer commitment, or enrollment in school. Our program is community-oriented and clients attend local 12-step meetings on a daily basis. They will also work with a 12-step sponsor and become part of a larger recovery community. Sunrise is a residential treatment center for teen and adolescent girls, boys, and LGBTQ+ youths ages 13-17.
Sunrise has a holistic approach to treatment on a continuum of three phases. In the first phase, students are assessed and stabilized; in the second phase they are treated, and in the third and final phase, they transition into independence. Sunrise is the only adolescent and teen girls, boys, and LGBTQ+ residential treatment center that offers all three on their campus. Sunrise also offers around-the-clock care in a safe, home-like environment, helping teens facing suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or other mental health challenges. We focus on family-centered healing with a firm belief that parents are integral to the healing process at our residential treatment center, with consistent communication and family involvement to rebuild trust and connection. Our residential treatment is DBT-focused and is backed by treatment outcomes that show how our RTC helps teens decrease anxiety, depression, and distress.

It seems to be a zero-sum game we live by. At EVNSQ, we take a person where he’s at, regardless of what brought him to us or where he wants to go from here. Everyone is on an EVEN playing field, no better, and certainly, no worse. This is important to our philosophy because beginning treatment in the here-and-now allows a man to SQUARE up to his life, SQUARE up to those who love him, and most importantly, get SQUARE with himself.
