About

Large Psychotherapy Practice With 10 Locations

Urban Balance is a large group psychotherapy practice with 8 Chicagoland locations and one location in Denver and St. Louis. We provide comprehensive outpatient counseling services for individuals, couples, children and families. Our mission is to make therapy accessible and affordable by accepting insurance from most insurance companies. Additionally, we believes therapy is a healthy, normal and proactive part of self-care. Urban Balance's most valuable assets are its therapists who come from a multitude of therapeutic backgrounds and clinical expertise. We have office locations in Chicago's downtown loop, River West, Ravenswood, Evanston, Libertyville, Northbrook and Hinsdale and offers convenient evening and weekend appointments. We also offers a free 20-minute consultation. For more information or to make an appointment, please contact our intake coordinator at 888-726-7170 x 1 or intake@urbanbalance.com.

Insurance Friendly Practice and Billing

Most insurance plans will cover mental health and substance abuse treatment and Urban Balance accepts most insurance plans. Urban Balance also accepts EAP (Employee Assistance Program) sessions. If Urban Balance is a network provider, UB will honor the contracted rate which will be between $60-$125 per session depending on the plan. UB has a professional billing department that will check your benefits, request authorizations, and submit claims on your behalf. Your therapist will explain your coverage at the following session after the insurance company responds with a quote of benefits - which is not an absolute guarantee of coverage. Co-payments are collected after each session.

Clinical Supervision and Consultation and CEUs

Urban Balance has many seasoned therapists on staff who are experienced in providing both individual and group supervision and consultation to therapists who are in training, working towards licensure, or fully licensed and seeking professional support and development. Clinical supervision and consultation is available at each of UB's eight Chicagoland locations. UB consultants are licensed psychologists, LCSWs, LCPCs, LMFTs and CADC's with various theoretical orientations, approaches and areas of specialization. As part of our mission to promote the professional development of therapists, UB provides continuing education events for clinicians to expand their knowledge and sharpen their clinical skills as to better serve their clients. Since 2012, UB has been accredited as a certified CEU sponsor for both social work and counseling by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Our diverse and progressive array of workshop topics provide participants with the opportunity to learn from experienced clinicians and to gain practical and contemporary clinical tools.

Anger Management Group

Anger is a healthy emotion in everybody's life - when it's expressed in an appropriate manner at the right time.
