About
About Us
United Health & Wellness Detox is a family owned, Georgia Department of Community Health licensed substance abuse treatment facility that provides residential and medical detox for individuals with addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. Services include medication and clinical therapy to manage the difficult and often painful symptoms of drug and alcohol withdrawal which ultimately stabilizes an individual to continue treatment at a lower level of care or return to their daily life free of substances. United Health & Wellness Detox is a voluntary 12-bed program for men and women 18 years or older. Patients are thoroughly screened through our pre-admission process to ensure they meet criteria and are a good fit for our program. We strive to provide unparalleled patient care within a boutique setting which allows for individualized treatment and personal attention. Patients live on-site and are provided with 24-hour medical supervision and care.
Treatment Approach & Levels of Care
United Health & Wellness Detox understands that addiction affects the whole person; mind, body and spirit. In order to experience true and lasting healing, we provide a 3-fold approach to recovery, offering evidence based psychological treatment (mind), detoxification (body) and Christ-centered spiritual growth (spirit) during all levels of care provided by our team of licensed professionals. The Average Length of Stay: Our medical detox program is primarily the first step of the recovery process. Based on the severity of the withdrawal symptoms and medical needs, a patient may go through the detoxification process anywhere from 3-14 days. Our residential treatment program is for individuals who have completed medical detox and no longer require medical stabilization. The residential program length is dependent on patient needs but can be anywhere between 30-60 days. Patients are also able to step down to our outpatient program at Golden Isles Treatment Center located in Brunswick's Downtown Historic District for a continuum of care for partial hospitalization; IOP or OP.
