Sierra Tucson, located in Tucson, Arizona, is a renowned treatment center for adults age 18 and older. We provide a residential treatment program for adults who are suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and need stabilization. Our program is designed for adults who are experiencing the effects of trauma and having difficulty functioning on a daily basis. Evidence-based and integrative therapies are led by a dynamic team of medical and behavioral health professionals who are committed to helping each resident rebuild their life and find lasting wellness. PTSD treatment looks different for everyone, and our team is here to support you as you heal. Therapy can help you better regulate your emotions, form strong and healthy attachments with others, improve mindfulness and self-awareness, and learn valuable communication and coping skills. At Sierra Tucson, we understand the profound and long-lasting impact traumatic events can have on someone’s life, and we recognize the courage and hope it takes to seek help. Our residential treatment program for PTSD offers a range of therapies to help adults address the specific ways traumatic experiences have affected their mental health. After a comprehensive evaluation, we provide each resident with a customized care plan that outlines the therapeutic services they will receive during their time in treatment. Residents stay in gender-specific lodges and can participate in a range of therapies during the day. Our trauma-informed group and individual therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, equine therapy, psychodrama and a variety of integrative therapies, such as qigong and yoga. For decades, our campus has been a place of renewal and hope for people who are suffering from addictions, mental health disorders and co-occurring disorders. Our multidisciplinary staff is trained in trauma-informed care and includes licensed counselors and therapists, psychiatrists, dietitians, equine and adventure therapists, naturopathic practitioners and clinical social workers. We understand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to trauma recovery and that healing looks different for everyone.
