Simply put, it’s our mission to provide effective, caring, and high-quality mental health services. We provide in-person and telehealth therapy, medication management and telepsychiatry, intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP). What we do impacts the lives of our clients and their friends and families, and we take this responsibility seriously. The quality of our treatment is so important to us that we voluntarily completed the rigorous process required to receive accreditation by The Joint Commission. This difficult accreditation is usually only attempted by hospitals because of the intensity of the requirements – making us one of the only outpatient mental health practices in the Phoenix area to achieve this. We offer the full continuum of outpatient mental health services, which means that you can work with the same treatment team as your needs evolve – no more starting over again with someone new as needs change. Our diverse team can work with the whole family – children, teens, and adults and over the years we have had the honor of working with multiple family members at the same time.
Specialized Adolescent & Adult Treatment Programs
We specialize in treating mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, ADHD, self-harm, and social concerns like relationship challenges and we are especially skilled in treating these conditions with group-based therapy. We provide: Individual Therapy – we specialize in EMDR and DBT. Medication Management and Telepsychiatry. Couples and Family Therapy. Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for pre-teens, adolescents, and adults. Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) for adolescents. IOPs at Transitions provide a focused course of treatment that leads to rapid mental health recovery. In terms of hours of therapy, attending an IOP is similar to 1 years’ worth of hours of individual therapy. It’s meant to help speed recovery when you can’t wait a year to start feeling better. PHPs at Transitions is a specialty service that offers treatment like those of a hospital inpatient program, but on an outpatient basis (no overnight stay). The program includes 4-6 hours of treatment Monday through Friday across six to eight weeks. Participants will also attend weekly appointments with a psychiatry provider so that their progress and medications can be carefully monitored.

Our Adolescent IOP is designed for teenagers ages 13-17 struggling with depression and/or anxiety symptoms, risky behaviors, challenges in relationships, issues with self worth and esteem, and difficulties in areas of their lives such as education, family, and peer group. The IOP program uses a truly Integrative approach to treatment combining Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Expressive Arts, Mindfulness Based Practices, and Family Involvement to help clients achieve their treatment goals.
