Since its development, it has been used for the treatment of many kinds of mental health disorders. The theory behind DBT is that some people are prone to react in a more intense manner toward certain emotional situations, primarily those found in romantic, family and friend relationships. DBT group focuses on Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
