We offer a Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Maryville &Tri-Cities and GI for Kids in TN. In Charleston, South Carolina we offer Addiction Focused program for Recovery with DBT Therapy. Learn how to regulate your emotions in a small, personal, group therapy program in a home setting. We offer a non-institutionalized setting, that is peaceful and relaxing. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), is embedded in our program. DBT is evidenced based and effective in reducing impulsive and reactive behavior. As part of the program we offer holistic, mindfulness activities weekly. Our group treatment is offered three hours a day, three days a week for seven weeks. We are focused on teaching you DBT's four skills of Core Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Holistic and Virtual Programs at The Middle Path
We will teach you in a supportive group setting how to live your life with mindfulness. To do that, we have the best holistic practitioners in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Maryville,Tri-Cities and Charleston, SC that will come to the group to teach you, yoga, art, music, horticulture therapy, drumming and a unique craft project. We will also have group on the water on a boat and we will go to a ranch and experience equine therapy. All of this is included in the cost of the program. All of our therapists are either DBT certified or in the process of being certified. If you have out of the area, physical, emotional or work barriers to attend out IOP program, we offer a virtual DBT group for 8 hours a week for 6 weeks. In Charleston we offer adult IOP Treatment on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday from 6-9pm
Adults, Elementary, Pre-Teen and Teens, Virtual
We care about our clients. Many people are concerned about attending a group and think they will have to be "spill their life story". We are a very different type of safe and protected group. We do not allow "Open Processing". We do not want people to be triggered. We have many rules around group to keep the "trauma talk" out of our groups. We understand that our clients have very different needs due to personal schedules. We offer a variety of schedules for Adults, Elementary age, Pre-teens, Teens and virtual adults late in the evening. We want to provide schedules that meet your needs so you can integrate 9 hours of therapy into your life. We also are working in Knoxville with GI (Gastroenterology) for Kids. The connection between gut and brain health is offered at our facility for teens. We meet afterschool from 4:30-7:30pm 3 days a week, 3 hours a day for 6.5 weeks. Our children 6-10yo meet on Tues, Wed, Thurs from 3:30-6:30pm with parental involvement required.

The Middle Path-DBT Intensive Outpatient Facility's Groups
Preteen & Teen IOP groups are in person and online
All groups are a maximum of eight people. The teen groups in Kingsport are offering online groups three times a week M,T, Fr 415-715pm. Please call 423-269-8900 for additional information. Groups in Knoxville are in-person and are divided into ages 10-13, 14&15, 16-18. We also offer ages 6-10 year old groups with parent involvement weekly.
Virtual IOP Groups for Adults from 5:30pm-8:30PM
It can be frustrating to want a service but you do not live within driving range. Sometimes, it is too difficult emotionally to attend a group or perhaps physical limitations or work schedules make coming to group impossible. The Middle Path-Maryville, TN is now offering a DBT virtual group. We offer 60 hours of intensive group per week for 6.5 weeks. Early Hope 6-10YO and Gastroenterology for Teens
The Middle Path is offering the "Early Hope" Intensive Outpatient Program for children 6-10 that need to learn to regulate their emotions. We are also offering an adolescent program for teens that are struggeling with Gasteroentrology issues and depression, anxiety or issues of trauma.
