The "Experience of Recovery"
We Have Beds Available! We provide the one-on-one care you need for permanent recovery. We are a small, top-rated, exclusive, fully-confidential, luxury grade, in-patient residential treatment center. Men (18 and older) at our facility can be honest and face core issues. They can get their life back and experience what it takes to stay clean and sober. Our clients acquired the disease of alcoholism or addiction by "experiencing the disease" usually over a long period of time. The "experience of recovery" is the key to long-term, permanent recovery, accomplished one day at a time. We combine this with a lot of one-on-one time with men in recovery who have gone through that experience themselves. We believe that an alcoholic or addict who lives in recovery can have a life that far exceeds the life of a non-alcoholic, non-addict, or so called normal person. It is important to remember that some of the most intelligent and creative people on this planet had problems with alcoholism and drug addiction. We Have Beds Available! There is a big difference between getting clean and sober, and staying clean and sober. Two different things. Both required. Lectures might help men get clean and sober, but they just don’t help men stay clean and sober. How many lectures have you endured over the years? From Spouses? Friends? Relatives? Pastors? Therapists? Doctors? Psychiatrists? If lectures could keep you clean and sober, you would not be on this page! So, why do most treatment centers use a lecture format? Very simple. The lecture format (including group therapy) is very profitable for the treatment center. Almost all conventional treatment centers use some variation of the lecture format. Group therapy for men in early recovery usually turns into a lecture by the therapist. Extremely boring and very repetitive! Conventional rehab centers tend to have different names for their lectures. They are reluctant to let people know that they use the standard lecture format. People who don’t have your problem believe that if they can get the right information to you, you would change. Beds Available! The “Experience of Recovery” involves actions, movements, and activities. It encourages clients to identify and address hidden or subconscious issues through a range of active experiences. Clients tend to focus on the activity at hand and drop the guards they have built over their lives that have been blocking recovery and causing relapse. The “Experience of Recovery” goes deep. Clients using the “Experience of Recovery” welcome the honesty required to get to the real and deeper problems. Solutions Retreat is one of the leaders in the growing “Experience of Recovery” field. Our clients don’t have time to do much other than process recovery. And due to our intensity, much of this processing takes place on a subconscious level. Clients eat three high-protein, home-cooked meals a day. Your experience while at our facility will have a permanent effect (one day at a time) and you will enjoy the experience. Your recovery plan will not be easy but we hear belly laughs at our retreat center from men who have not had more than a chuckle in ten years.
