At TrustPoint Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, we offer both medical and nonmedical detox services. Detox can be an essential step on a person’s path to recovery. When a person develops an addiction to certain substances and they then try to stop using these substances, they may experience considerable physical and psychological pain. This is known as withdrawal. In some cases, withdrawal can be extremely dangerous or even deadly. But when a person starts their recovery journey in a detox program, they can get through withdrawal safely and with minimal discomfort. People who participate in detox at our hospital benefit from 24-hour care provided by a team that may include physicians, registered nurses, and other treatment providers. Depending on the nature and severity of their struggles with addiction, people in our detox program may receive therapeutic support, prescription medications to ease discomfort, and other services as needed. Typical length of stay in our detox program is five to seven days.

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at TrustPoint Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, serves adults age 18 and older who have anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or other mental health concerns. Group therapy is the main method of treatment in our IOP. A typical treatment day includes multiple groups, all of which are led by licensed therapists. Groups focus on a variety of topics, such as anger management, communication skills, stress management, healthy boundaries, grief and loss, and disease/disorder education. We also offer experiential therapy groups, which may include yoga, meditation, music therapy, aromatherapy, and role-playing. Patients who have been experiencing symptoms that can be treated with prescription medication may also receive medication management services while they are in our IOP. The standard schedule for this level of care includes three hours of treatment three days per week, for a total of nine weekly hours of care. Typical length of stay in the IOP at TrustPoint Hospital is eight to 12 weeks.

Vertava Health Midtown Nashville Behavioral Health & Wellness Center include a curriculum of evidence-based therapies and programs several days a week depending on the specific needs of the patient. Patients will have the opportunity to meet regularly with their experienced therapist as well as participate in group work that will build up their support system.
