Volunteer Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Chattanooga, Tennessee, provides high-quality outpatient care for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions to heroin, prescription painkillers, and other opioids. Our CTC offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT), an evidence-based approach for helping people achieve and maintain recovery from opioid addictions. MAT uses prescription medication to help people withdraw from opioids and avoid relapse. At the same time, it also incorporates counseling, which can help participants make important lifestyle changes that promote lasting recovery. At our CTC, each patient can receive methadone, buprenorphine, or Suboxone as part of their individualized treatment plan. These medications can ease the discomfort of opioid withdrawal and help people end opioid use without the burden of overwhelming cravings and withdrawal symptoms. When patients experience better clarity of mind, they may also find it easier to engage in therapy. Chattanooga Recovery Center not only offers addiction treatment, but we also offers treatment for primary mental health. Our team has the experience and knowledge to understand that oftentimes, drug and alcohol addiction are intertwined with mental illness. In fact, 1 in 4 adults with a mental illness also have a substance abuse disorder, and some studies show that as many as half of all individuals with drug or alcohol addictions also have a mental disorder of some kind. There are many reasons for this, and because the two are so closely tied together, it’s challenging to treat one issue without treating the other. Located in downtown Chattanooga, TN, Time Wellness is a primary mental health center for adults. Our program, which includes day treatment levels of care, and intensive outpatient is designed to assist clients in their journey to understand and achieve through symptom management and the development of new life skills. Our program specializes in assisting adults ages 18 and older in working through symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, schizoaffective, bipolar, dual diagnosis, and trauma related challenges. Through our comprehensive approach including, CBT, DBT, and ACT, trauma focused approach our treatment team carry the expertise to fulfil an array of mental health problems.

Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, provides personalized inpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older. Our hospital serves patients who have anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, and other mental health disorders. We also care for those who are struggling with addiction. Inpatient treatment is a short-term service, with the goal of stabilizing patients so that they can return home or step down to a lower level of care. Typical length of stay at our hospital is seven to 12 days. During that time, a person’s care may include basic medical care, medication management services, detoxification, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. Our team works closely with each patient to explain the features and benefits of each service. We are also available to answer any questions patients may have at any time. Before they transition out of our inpatient program, all patients receive a discharge plan to guide their continued progress.

Integrative Life Center – Chattanooga is a trauma-focused extended care treatment center offering a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient (IOP) program for clients with primary Mental Health Disorders and Substance Use Disorders. Located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital provides an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with mental health disorders. This program is designed to help people who have developed anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health concerns, as well as those who have become addicted to alcohol or another drug. We make all admissions decisions on an individual basis, but in general, our IOP serves people who can benefit from structured clinical care but do not require round-the-clock support. This means that adults may step down to our IOP after completing an inpatient or residential program, or they may enter treatment with us directly at the IOP level. Flexible scheduling is one of the many features of our IOP. We offer three hours of care each day, with participants having the option of attending treatment three to five days per week. This approach allows people to learn new skills during treatment and practice them in a real-world environment during nontreatment hours. They can then process their experiences and receive feedback during their next session.

Focus provides compassionate and comprehensive treatment for adults struggling with eating disorders and/or substance use. Our whole-person treatment approach reflects each patient's value and self-worth so that the care is unique and individualized. Our Chattanooga location offers inpatient detoxification, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care. Our Knoxville center offers an eating disorder intensive outpatient program, as well as outpatient therapy and nutrition services. We provide screening and assessments to help determine the appropriate level of treatment needed at both locations.
