Adult Residential Treatment
Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center, located in Lemont, Illinois, offers residential programming that caters to the needs of women age 18 and older. Our residential program prioritizes safety and inclusivity so that women can pursue healing from mood disorders, eating disorders, the effects of trauma, and addictions. During your time with us, you will live in one of our six lodges alongside other women who are also receiving treatment. A highly skilled and compassionate multidisciplinary team of professionals provides personalized care that is tailored to address your specific needs. Throughout treatment, we will actively encourage you to share your thoughts, insights, and concerns. We welcome and value honest feedback and questions as part of the therapeutic process. After your time in residential treatment is complete, you will have the option to continue treatment in our partial hospitalization program (PHP) or one of our intensive outpatient programs (IOPs). These programs can offer ongoing support as you transition back to day-to-day life. Adolescent Residential Treatment
At Timberline Knolls, we offer age-appropriate residential programming for adolescent girls ages 12-17 who are struggling with eating disorders, the effects of trauma, substance use disorders, and other mental health concerns. Our approach to care is highly individualized, and each girl receives a customized treatment plan that is designed to meet her unique needs. A typical day in our adolescent residential treatment program includes several group therapy sessions that are led by experienced mental health experts. These sessions focus on developing coping skills, practicing mindfulness techniques, and exploring one’s relationship with food. Additionally, experiential groups provide opportunities for recreational activities, yoga, and dance and movement therapies. Most girls also participate in individual and family therapy sessions throughout the week, and the frequency of these sessions depends on their needs and progress. When you finish treatment at Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center, we will continue to support and encourage you as you reintegrate into your daily life. Upon completion of our adult or adolescent residential program, you will become a lifelong member of our alumnae program. This program for former clients and residents offers an ongoing source of support after you have completed treatment. Alumnae coordinators organize annual retreats, virtual workshops, family and connections support groups, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) support groups. They also act as liaisons to connect the facility with the present client community. We also offer private social media groups where women and girls can connect with each other in a virtual environment.
