The Family Institute of Virginia is a private center professionally equipped to provide a broad range of therapeutic services to families and individuals and advanced training for mental health professionals. Detox is the critical first step in the addiction treatment process that involves ridding the body of addictive substances under the guidance and care of medical professionals. Our Detox Program provides a safe, comfortable environment where individuals can detox prior to beginning their individualized residential or outpatient treatment programs. Prior to admission, individuals are assessed to determine individual diagnosis and needs. When appropriate, individuals are prescribed medications intended to make the detox experience as comfortable as possible.

Sandstone Care provides substance use, addiction, and mental health treatment for young adults (ages 18 to 30) and adolescents (ages 13 to 18) including Residential Treatment, Day Treatment (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and General Outpatient (OP) programming.

At Richmond, we specialize in treating adults (18 years or older) of all genders who have anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), personality disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Outpatient Counseling offers a variety of therapeutic interventions by licensed and skilled providers of mental health services. The Family Enrichment Center provides caring, supportive mental health services for all members of the family. Clients can participate in family, couple, group, or individual counseling. Adults, children, and adolescents are served. Group counseling focuses on: Batterer's Intervention/Domestic Violence, Anger Management, or Substance Abuse. Parenting classes are offered on a regular or one time basis. Supervised visitation or family reunification services are provided. Parental Capacity Evaluations are conducted. Leading outpatient addiction treatment center since 1998. The Coleman Institute’s innovative outpatient detox programs have helped thousands of people free themselves from addiction to Alcohol, Opioids, Suboxone, Methadone and Benzodiazepines. We have an extraordinarily high 98% success rate for getting opioid patients onto the non-addictive opiate blocker, Naltrexone, which significantly decreases the risk of relapse by reducing cravings and blocking opioids. To help our patients get into long-term recovery and stay there, our unique program includes ongoing Naltrexone therapy and supportive case management after the withdrawal management phase. As a premier non-profit behavioral health system, our residential program for boys and girls, ages 6-17, treats a wide range of mental health disorders. We also offer a dual diagnosis program for co-occurring mental health illness and substance abuse. We are TRICARE-approved, with expertise and focused concentration is helping children from military families throughout the U.S. and overseas. Our 32-acre open college-like campus on the border of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, Virginia. In addition, The Barry Robinson offers an Intensive Outpatient program (IOP) for adolescents and young adults (18-24) with diagnoses including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD and who use drugs or alcohol. This service is currently offered at our Norfolk location as well as through Telehealth communications. Intensive Outpatient program is not specific to only military families.

At Williamsville Wellness, we believe that the key to successful and lasting recovery is through individual attention. Where other addiction treatment centers rely primarily on group therapy sessions, we provide 15+ one-on-one sessions per week with our multidisciplinary staff. Within these frequent individual sessions and supplemental group sessions, our patients are able to address behaviors, contributing factors to addiction, emotional and mental health, family issues, coping mechanisms, and more to gain a comprehensive look into the root and impacts of their addiction.
